Objective:  The students will complete two MC Practice pre-tests.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  For those at home:  Chill.

3.  For those in class:  MC Practice (one prose and one poetry)

Day 85

Objective:  The students will complete a MC Practice using a poetry piece.  They will then discuss Othello Act I Scene 3 (since so many students ditch on Wednesday).

1.  MC Poetry Practice:  The Female Philosopher (I like this one!)

2.  Discuss Act I Scene 3 Notes and Reading.  

3.  Warren's Power Point Master Piece

Day 84

Objective:  To have a nice day!

Note:  If your parent is a teacher in the district... apply for the RCTA Scholarship!  It is easy and you are almost 100% sure to get money if you fill out the application correctly.  There are currently only a few people who have applied.  Go to myrcta.org for the application.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  Discuss Act I Scene 3 and fill in notes.  WHY ARE THEY NOT DONE BY 14 people???  YOU ARE NOT LIVING UP TO YOU END OF THE BARGAIN THAT WE MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Objective:  The students will finish the reading of Act I of Othello.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  Discuss Act I Scene 2 which you should have read/listened to and completed the notes.

3.  Act I Scene 3.  It is longer (20 minutes).  Complete reading/listening and notes.

Day 82

Objective:  The students will read and understand Othello Act I Scenes 1-2.

Full Refund if you don't take it.  Just don't show up.  Refund will be given after last test window date of June 11.

Note:  I have decided that my goal with this unit is to give you something that you can use on a Q3 Essay on the AP Test.  I just want you to know it well enough to write a good essay.  I WILL NOT load you up with a bunch of busy work and quizzes if you PROMISE to read/listen to it as I assign, then discuss it with me (a real two-sided conversation).  If we can do this... there will be no busy work or test involved.  Just notes and discussions.

Objective:  The students will read the next play of the drama unit.  One that is totally opposite from the one that was read earlier.

1.  Poetry MC Practice.  This will also serve as Roll today.  It is for 10 points in the gradebook.

2.  Mind the Gap reading and assignment in GC.  This play is easier to understand than The Sandbox.  Due by Monday.

Objective:  The students will discuss the elements of Dramas and then read their first one.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  Drama Chapters 1 and 2 Power Point discussions.

3.  Read The Sandbox and complete the questions assigned.  It is a trip!  If you don't understand something, just move on.  I will explain it all on Wednesday.  But try!
