Objective:  The students will start reading Act IV.

1.  Go over the notes from Act III.

2.  Type Act IV Scene 1 Notes

3.  Read it (15 minutes).

4.  Complete the study guide questions. 

Day 136

Objective:  The students will finish all Act III assignments.

1.  Act III Scene 3 1/2 and Scene 4 Notes 

2.  Finish anything from Act III and the Translation from Act II if not done already.

3.  Finish Mush outline if not complete yet.

4.  We will finish Othello this week.  Get a copy of Catcher in the Rye by next Monday.  See me if this is a problem.  I will find one for you. 

 

Day 133

Objective:  The students will begin Act III.

1.  Act III Scenes 1-3 Notes

2.  Read for 20 minutes

3.  Tomorrow you will read the rest of Act III by yourself (I put the audio of it in your GC).  Don't be lazy and just read what the internet says about it.  Actually read/listen to it.  Then complete the review.

2.  Read the rest of Act II:  23 minutes.

Objective:  The students will read more of Act I.

1.  Allusion Notes:  "I am what I am."  Add these to you Act I Note Doc.

2.  Act I Scene 2 Notes:  Read it (4 minutes)

3.  Act I Scene 3 Notes up to line 174:  Read it.

4.  Complete the Review Handout up to where we have read. 

Day 127

Objective:  The students will begin reading of Othello. 

1.  Get a blank sheet of paper and a Perrine's book.

2.  Warren's Tragedy and Othello Notes Power Point

3.   Act I Scene 1 Notes:  In GC, open the Othello Notes Doc.  Each day that we read you will type notes about what we will read.  This will be printed out and put in packet when we are finished reading.

4.  Read Act I Scene 1 

Day 126

Objective:  The students will begin the Othello Unit.

1.   Drama Chapter Three:  Tragedy and Comedy (p. 1303-1310): _____

Please just read the seven pages and outline the important information.   

Day 125

Objective:  The students will discuss the analysis of the two plays.

1.  Discuss my presentations of The Sandbox and Mind the Gap.

2.  Mush prompt and handout.  Due at the end of the period.

 

Day 124

Objective:  The students will finish any work from Drama Packet.

1.  I am not sure if you were able to read the entire play and finish the analysis handout, so today you will complete anything from the packet that is unfinished.  It's due tomorrow.

2.  AP Classroom MC Practice Number 3:  "A Fine Balance."  Ten points to the computer. 

Day 122

Objective:  The students will read a drama and analyze its purpose.

Note:  Tomorrow I will be out with my wife for a quick surgery.  I know that you will be great and I appreciate it.

1.  Get the Perrine's Book.

2.  I need four readers:  A young man, a mommy, a daddy, and a Grandma.

3.  Read the play aloud as a class.  Remember what a writer of the Theater of the Absurd believes about life and our existence.

4.  Complete the assignment. 

Day 121

Objective:  The students will discuss Chapter Outlines.

1.  Discuss my presentations on Drama Chapters 1 and 2.

2.  Theater of the Absurd Notes (this will be added to the packet).

3.  Complete the lit terms.

4.  Tomorrow we read our first play.
