Period 1 and 4

Project has been introduced to everyone. You should spend 5 minutes a day on it. Don't wait until the last day to glue thm onto paper and write explanations, because it will take too much time.

If everyone in class turns in a dialectic journal for the assgned chapters, we will not have to do any more of them. If one student forgets it, we will continue!

Period 1

Today we turned in Chp. 2 Dalectic for Lord of the Flies. To say the least, I was pretty mad about the turn in rate. Only 5 of you did it. We also took a quiz on the chapter and discussed it. Finally, I went over your Lord of the Flies project where you will use real events over a month to prove that "man is Good or that Man is Evil.

Read! Read or you will fail each quiz that we take. If you read, they are EASY!

Quizzes daily and Dialectic Journals

Period 4

Today we took the quiz for chapter one, which was worth 1000 points. Then we went over the dialectic journal. and we are beginning to read chapter two for homework.

Period 1 and 4

With the weird schedule that we have been having, it's hard to keep straight what we've been doing. Both classes have gone over the intro of the book and now have to read Chp. 1 and complete a Dialectic Journal. Bring your book each day.

Period 4

We finished the introdiction presentation on the author of LOTF. All students were assigned chapter 1 of the book as well as a Dialectic Journal for the chapter. The Dialectic must have 10 entries and comments to receive full credit. Be prepared for a quiz on the first chapter on Friday.

Period 1

We discussed the Independent/Subordinate Clause Worksheet and checked out our new novel. We started the paragraph writing for CAT6 13, but Nicole started telling stories about herself and her family and had the entire class confused and laughing.

We will finish it tomorrow and start reading.
