Your first TTSTCANDI without my help...

Objective:  The students will analyze Hills Like White Elephants.

1.  Get into groups of three to four.

2.  Complete a TTSTCANDI.  Each student must have one completed for the packet.  Work on it together.  DO NOT have one person do 1/3 and then just exchange and copy.  Talk to each other and figure it out.

DO NOT USE YOUR PHONES!!!  USE YOUR BRAINS.  You may be surprised by your insights and interpretations.

ALICE Training Day

Objective:  The students will TTSTCANDI a sad, but great story about love and change.

Your First AP Essay

Objective:  The students will use what they have learned so far and write a great essay on a character that we have discussed and analyzed.

1.  Get out three sheets of paper and a pen.

2.  Write on ONE SIDE ONLY or it will not be graded.

3.  Write neatly.

4.  Remember how it will be scored.  1 point for thesis.  4 points for proving it.  1 point for great writing.  You are shooting for a 4 or higher.

You need Grendel Chapter 1 by tomorrow.  Printed.  Not on a phone.
