MC Thursday

Objective:  The students will work through a MC Practice piece from an old AP test.

1.  MC Prose Practice:  Mr. Babbitt

What to pay attention to:
    1.  Lit terms
    2.  Noticing irony (sarcasm)
    3.  Style:  CAPs, Boldface, italics, etc.
    4.  Vocabulary

As time runs out on the test, just go ahead and guess your way to finish the test.  

2.  Finish Personal Statements.  Due tomorrow.  It should be PERFECT!!  Don't use me as an editor!

1.  Sit anywhere.  Roll.  I have to start learning your names!

2.  My website:  warrenmlk.com.  Save it.  Use it.  Never ask me, "Mr. Warren, I was absent yesterday, did I miss anything?"  You are a young adult in a college level class.  It's on you to figure it out.

3.  Restroom and Eating/Drinking Policy.

4.  Summer Work:  Due to Google by 9/16.  50 points.  If late, it will not be scored.

5.  Q2 Essay Prompt:  "No Dogs Bark"

6.  Go to library and get AP books.

First Book:  Grendel by John Gardner.  If you buy it and close read it, you get 50 points EC.

Objective:  The students will discuss the AP Test and see an example of one part.

1.  Sit anywhere that you will be able to listen, learn and be productive.
2.  Roll and Intro and AP Scores from 2019.
3.  Summer Work Due (worth 1000 points).  Test tomorrow.  1000 points.
4.  The AP Test at a glance.
5.  Q1 Prompt and assignment

Supplies Needed:  Your AP Book; One Inch Three Ring Binder;  Pens; Highlighters and some pencils for tests.  Need all of this by Friday.
