Happy SB Weekend!!

Objective:  The students will practice a Q1 Essay.

1.  Get out your completed Drama 3 outline.

2.  Drama 3 PP

3.  Practice Q1 Essay from 2018.  You will read/analyze, write into and one GREAT body paragraph.

50 points. 

Minus 10 for each slap quote.
Minus 10 for improper punctuation.
Minus 10 for no thesis/UT.
Minus 10 for weak textual support.

I will give you 10 for trying. HAA!

Well those essays are done...

Objective:  The students will read some sample papers, then compare what they did to the examples.  Hopefully they see what they did right, and then can work on what they need to grow.

1.  Grab a packet.

2.  Put together Poetry Packet 3 IN ORDER!!  If you have two outlines on one page, make sure that I can see where they stop and start.  Turn in.

3.  Read sample essays.

4.  Get your essay back (I will hand them out).  I had to use the old "easier" grading poiunt scale on this since it was our first poetry one and it was hard.  Next time back to the regular second semester scale.

5.  Outline first chapter of Drama Unit.

 Organic imagery / subjective imagery, pertains to personal experiences of a character's body, including emotion and the senses of hunger, thirst, fatigue, and pain. Phenomenological, pertains to the mental conception of an item as opposed to the physical version.

Objective:  The students will outline a Perrine's Chapter for our last unit of Poetry.

1.  Sit anywhere.  I am making a new seating chart so if you want to change seats, now is the time.

2.  Get the Perrine's Poetry cover sheet.

3.  Outline Chapter 11 on Musical Devices.  I am going to check these assignments daily now for points.  Each day.  10 points.
