Objective:  The students will complete the next two outlines on Figurative Language for Monday.

1.  Complete Chapter Outlines on Fig. Lang for Perrine's Poetry Packet 2.

Also:  I know that some of you are not reading.  The test/essay at the end for you all will be brutal.  And grade destruction right before Christmas.

1.  Put together in order Perrine's Poetry Packet 1 and turn in.

2.  Get Perrine's Poetry Packet II Cover Sheet.

3.  Complete the first two chapter outlines.  Due tomorrow.  Unless you are not working.  Then now!

How is the reading going?

Objective:  The students will discuss the first reading section of their books.

1.  Get out your close read book.

2.  Get a test.  Complete it.  You can use your book.

3.  Get into book groups and discuss the reading.  What are you seeing?  What are some emerging UTs?  How is the author developing them?

4.  How id the UCR project going?

5.  Next Reading Section Due Nov. 22 (close reading and test)

Objective:  The students will outline the next chapter and complete terms so that we can read our first poem tomorrow.

1.  If you were here Friday, turn in your completed outline and terms for 10 points.  If you were not here, grab the Perrine's Poetry Unit 1 Cover Sheet.  You have lots to do today.  No you don't get an extra day!  You decided to take the day off.

2.  Complete the chapter outline for the second poetry chapter as well as the tone terms.
