Objective:  The students will outline two chapters about Dramas before we read our first one.  And it is a weird one!!!

Day 75

Objective:  The students will know important vocabulary for our Drama Unit.

Easy homework Wednesday if I have 20+ cameras on this morning.  You people are coming back to school soon... I need to know what you look like... Plus, you want your classmates to know how awesome you look! :)

1.  Roll in GC

2.  If we have 20+ cameras on, only complete the Lit Terms on the Drama Unit Study Guide posted in GC.  If not... Read all of Othello tonight for an essay tomorrow.

Day 74

Objective:  The students will complete the last poetry analysis.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  Discuss the poem "Do Not Go Gentle..."

3.  MC Poetry Practice:  The Thief in GC for 10 points.  Due now so that we can discuss.

Day 73 THURSDAY!!! Mr. Bohrer (I know him as Josh, will be in charge!)

 

Objective:  The students will complete their last awesome poem from the last poetry unit.

THIS IS FOR THURSDAY

1.  Roll however Mr. Bohrer wants to do it.  Introduce yourselves!  Turn your camera on and say hello!  He is a good guy!  I have told him  how great my classes are! 

2.  Complete the assignment in GC called "Do Not Go Gentle..." It is worth 50 points and it is DUE TODAY!!!!

Stay in class the entire 50 minutes please!

Day 72: WEDNESDAY!!!!

 

Objective:  The students will complete a short assignment on a video satire.

THIS IS FOR WEDNESDAY!!!!

1.  Roll however Mr. Vasel wants to do it.  Introduce yourselves!  Turn your camera on and say hello!  He is a good dude!

2.  Complete the assignment in GC called "Satire: Research Paper."  It is due today.

Day 71

Objective:  The students will get some poetry MC Practice then analyze their second to last poem of this unit.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  Poetry MC Practice "The Forerunners" in GC

3.  "Judged by my goddess..."  in GC Due next class.

Day 70

Objective:  The students will talk today.  They will participate.  The teacher is in a mood.  He is tired of no participation.  I will try to make him happy today.

2.  Participation Game.  Participate, you win.  Don't participate... you lose.  Literally. 

Note:  FAFSA:  You guys need to get on it!  

This year has been tough for everyone but I need help getting some news to our Seniors. There are 22 days left until the California Financial Aid Deadline. So far we only have 208 students who have completed their FAFSA or CADAA forms. If you have seniors in any of your classes or clubs please remind them to submit their applications before March 2. 

Families need all the help they can get during these unprecedented times and there are plenty of programs out there where need is not considered for the student to receive an award, they just need to complete the forms. If you have any questions or need to check on any of your students please let me know and I can confirm whether or not they have submitted the forms.

Objective:  The students will discuss the anayzed poem and then look at another.

Day 68

 Objective:  The students will discuss rhythm in poetry and then look at a cool poem.

Note:  I have to go see a realtor about selling my mother in law's house in Menifee.  I may have to leave class a bit early.  I will try to connect on my phone while I drive there.  PLEASE stay in class until 10:50.  I really appreciate it!

 Objective:  The students will complete a poem MC Practice in Albert.io.

1.  Roll in GC

2.  Albert.io assignment for 10 points.  We have done this poem before... If 10 people get 100 percent, I will give the entire class 5 extra credit points!!!

Day 66

Objective:  The students will analyze their last poem for the Poetry Unit 2.

1. Roll in GC

2.  I have not graded the essays yet...  One more student has to write it.  But do you want to talk about it?  What did you all write about?

This is the old grading scale based on a 9 point rubric.  1-4 fail.  5 is minimal pass.  9 is the best.
