Day 13

Objective:  The students will complete as many presentations as possible.

Get your graded Personal Statements.  Look at my comments and see if you understand my sloppy writing.  You have ONE WEEK to fix them for a better grade.  YOU MUST SUBMIT THE FIRST DRAFT with the rewrite.  I don't want to read them word for word again.

1.  Get your chapter 3 outline stamped.

2.  Presentations.  We are going to power through as many as possible.  You can look at phones in between presentations and notes, but during them, be respectful and listen.

Day 12

Objective:  The students will outline the final chapter (by yourself) so that we can start reading literature.

 Note:  The KKAC Store is open to my students (and other nice students, no tools).  Honor system. Don't disappoint me.  And throw trash in cans,  Thanks.

The students will dissect a Q3 Prompt and outline/write intro for a novel of their choice.

NOTE:  College Class Expectations:  NO LATE WORK!

Day 1

Welcome to the first day of one of the best years of your life!!

Objective:  The students (and teacher) will feel comfortable in an environment of learning, inquiry, taking chances and experiencing literature through reading, writing and discussing.

1.  Sit anywhere that you feel comfortable and you will not be distracted.

2.  Grab the assignment handout

3.  Summer Work:  It was supposed to be completed yesterday.  How many of you did it?  1000 point test tomorrow!  Due turned in by Oct. 3 (50 points)

4.  Summer Work Presentations will begin next week.  More info on that later.

5.  College Worksheet:  Complete by tomorrow start of class.
