Objective:  The students will present their Nick Adams story analysis.  The other students will listen and ask questions.

Objective:  The students will work to complete their Hemingway story presentation.

1.  Work on presentations.  We will start presenting tomorrow!SIS!!!  

NO INTERNET!!  I know it's there.  I know that it is easy to just cheat.  But I am going to give you 100 anyway, so make it your own.  Make it good.  If it is not totally correct... who cares!!!  Just own it.

Day 55

Objective:  The students will work to complete their Hemingway story presentation.

1.  First Period:  I need some extra credit cargo carriers.

2.  Work on presentations.  I would like to start presenting tomorrow but since so many kids were absent Friday... we will have to see where you are at.

Objective:  The students will complete reading and discussion of a super awesome story by Hemingway and complete the TTSTCANDI analysis.

1.  Let's discuss this prompt vs yesterday's.  What is different about it?  (Q2 vs Q3).

2.  Discuss the story.

3.  Complete TTSTCANDI.  It will look like mine and include specific "textual evidence" that could be incorporated into an essay.  I want your close reading and TTSTCANDI to look like mine when you are done.  That is ANALYZING literature.

Day 51

Objective:  The students will practice CORRECTLY writing an AP essay intro and discuss the story and what they would write about.

1.  Write an intro paragraph for the following prompt:

Read carefully the story by Ernest Hemingway then write an essay in which you analyze the complex relationship between the two characters and how their relationship contributes to the author's purpose as a whole.

2.  Discuss story.

Objective:  The students will read a great story by Ernest Hemingway.

Objective:  The students will complete any work that they are missing.

Objective:  The students will look at 10 AP Prompts and discuss in groups how they would address each to pass the essay.

3.  Discuss how you would address each prompt.  What would you write about?
