Objective: Students will see how John Steinbeck wrote a biblical allegory to the story of Cain and Abel and write an essay explaining the allegory after watching the movie East of Eden (Reading standard 3.7 and Writing standard 2.3)

1. NO Quiz today. Hopefully you all read Chapter 5. Chapter 6 tonight and quiz tomorrow.
2. “Cain and Abel” reading and discussion. Fill in note sheet.
3. Start the video and fill in important notes on East of Eden.
4. Homework: Theme for Advanced Literature (due Friday instead of tomorrow)
