A Poem a Day...
Objective: The students will analyze a cool John Updike poem.
1. Get your folders, your lit books and your Night books.
2. Analyze all parts of Ex-Basketball Player"
3. Discuss your analysis.
4. Outside Reading: You now have 13 days.
ALL EXTRA CREDIT IS NOW OVER... Except one last one.
Seniors, Staff and Softball Against Cancer Game: May 29th at 3 pm.
Donate $1 to the American Cancer Society and get 10 Extra Credit Points.
Max Points: $20 = 200 Extra Credit Points (This can not be used in place of the book report).
Isn't that like buying a grade? Well Kinda... but it's for a good cause!

Night is over!
Objective: Students will pass the test.
1. Turn in typed and printed Haiku.
2. Grab both a test answer sheet and the test booklet. DO NOT WRITE ON THE TEST.
3. Put your name on the front of the test answer sheet and set up the back like the back board.
4. Take the test.
We will return Night and our literature anthology on Wednesday to the library.

2. Let's do "Summer Remembered" today.
3. Tomorrow and Friday: Sub. You will get a packet of 3 assignments to complete with Night over those two days. So finish Night tonight.
4. Night Haiku are due on Monday. Typed.
5. Don't forget. I am not going to remind you daily.... Book report due on June 2. I will not... WILL NOT... grade late papers. PERIOD! AND I will not accept a book report on a book that I don't see you reading... and have approved. In other words, no books that you read years ago.
