Colors in Lit:
White: Traditionally
means purity, goodness. In Literary
fiction, it often means winter, approach of old age and death.
Orange: Midday, high
noon of existence, harvest, pride and ambition.
Black: Sorrow, evil,
death, void, corruption, destruction and despair.
Gray: Mediocrity and depression.
Red: Sexual passion,
the first time, anger, healthy spontaneity.
Green: Youth, vigor,
nature, fertility, growth hope and change.
Yellow: Sickness and
weakness.
Purple: Royalty,
riches, quickening of human life.
Violet: Colder than
purple, suggests death approaching, memory, knowledge, sorrow and mourning.
Blue: Truth, dawning
of human life, intellect, color of morning.
