Objective: The students will see example papers of last year's Poetry Response Essay then grade other kids' essays.
1. Get handout and a pen.
2. Discuss Rubric: Look at what makes a 5 (passing) paper.
3. Look at the sample papers and guess the score. Discuss the reasons for the score.
4. Read three papers from another glass and grade, leaving positive and "to grow" comments for the writer.
