Objective: The students will discuss what they saw in "Out, Out" and analyze a Plath poem.
1. Go over Lit Terms:

Symbol Paradox Irony Allusion
Repetition Rhythm Pattern Paraphrase Enjambment
Inverted Syntax Juxtaposition (add onomatopoeia)
2. Go over "Out, Out" analysis/close reading
3. Analyze Plath's "Mirror, Mirror
Paradox: a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true.
Juxtaposition: the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect.
Enjambment: the continuation of a sentence without a pause beyond the end of a line
